The Vixen II (ex Jessica) was ordered in 1914 to be built by Wilson Marshall, the chairman of the New York yacht club under her first name Jessica. The first time that VixenII showed her speed is when she won the New York Yacht Club 40 one design series in 1915. This was the first victory in a long line off matchrace success. Vixen II participated over the years in many race's and won some really famous of those like the Foxy's wooden Boat Regatta and the Boston seaport Museum Regatta as well as the Antigua Classic Race in 2002. In 1978 the entire hull has been rebuilt in Ferrocore with epoxy. So very low in maintenance. Former owner Warner Beatty has had many famous guests on the boat. Now laying in Ibiza, for sale by her Dutch owner who kept the boat for over 10 years now. This spring the boat gets new antifouling and all woodwork will be painted with 2-component varnish.
