Introduced in 2000, the Bertram 510 Convertible reflects the Italian styling influences common to all late-model Bertrams introduced after the company's 1998 acquisition by Ferretti Yachts. With her elliptical windows and sweeping curves, the 510 was a clear departure from the classic Bertram look. Retained, however, is the time-tested Bertram deep-V hull, a large fishing cockpit, and the rugged construction long associated with the Bertram nameplate. (Note that the 510 is built on a stretched version of the company's 50 Convertible hull.) The three-cabin interior of the 510 is an impressive display of practical design and quality workmanship. The galley and dinette are forward in the salon, and the cherry wood cabinetry and paneling are finished to a rich and lustrous glow. Topside, the centerline helm is located well aft on the bridge to permit the inclusion of a U-shaped settee/dinette forward. Additional features include a separate control room aft of the engineroom for the generator and washing machine/dryer, a centerline fuel tank, and a rod storage locker in the salon overhead. Twin 1, 050hp MAN diesels will cruise the 510 at a fast 30 knots (33 – 34 knots top). Call for further details.
